We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. This code of conduct applies to the CEEasia Forum conference, all its panels, side sessions, and all related social events.
We are proud to bring together partners and participants from all corners of the world. We ask that everyone remember that this is a multicultural event. What you consider appropriate may be interpreted differently by another person due to different cultural norms and practices. We'd like to ask you to be aware of this and show your best professional behavior.
We all have a collective responsibility to make this event safe and welcoming to all participants. Participants are requested to be patient and remain civil.
We ask that all participants respect each other’s boundaries. Let someone leave a conversation that makes them uncomfortable, and do not follow people who asked to be left alone. Please respect the fact that there are things people either cannot or do not want to talk about.
Please do not speak or interrupt when someone else is speaking. While disagreements may happen, please refrain from engaging in debates during presentations out of respect for the speakers and others.
We highly encourage all participants to ask your questions, even if you think your question might be silly or trivial. More often than not, someone else might have the same question as you! Ask questions to understand each other better, especially when something is unclear.
Please remember to respect breaks. This is time dedicated for participants and speakers to unwind. Also, respect time allocated to breaks to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted start to the following sessions.
Please wear your identification badge during all events for security purposes.
Please don't share your sensitive personal information or work-related information.
Follow the organizer's instructions through the conference.
Before attending the event, verify your current health status, especially concerning COVID-19 infection. Take necessary precautions to protect your health and the health of other participants.
Unless otherwise specified, we will use Chatham House Rule for the sessions. When a meeting is held under Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.
Apply the Chatham House Rule to note-taking as well.
Please don't take pictures, screenshots, or record audio or video during the conference panels and side sessions.
Do not tweet, post, or publish information about any individual unless you obtain clear permission from them. This includes tagging on social media. When posting photos, make sure that no people visible in the background could be identified without their approval.
Failure to comply with any of the above-stated policies is sufficient grounds for expulsion from the event.
Any form of harassment against a participant during the conference is prohibited.
Remember that NO means no, DON’T means don’t, STOP means stop.
Any unsolicited instances of harassment are grounds for expulsion from the event.
Examples of harassment include but are not limited to:
Verbal comments that discriminate against gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age or religion;
